Lots of creativity has been flowing around our house lately and this evening I have a Paris Pool Party plus a Big Announcement to share with you my friends. I’m so excited; I’m actually doing a #happydance right now. 🙂
First things, first. The not-so-typical birthday party we had last weekend.
We celebrated with a Paris Pool party for my baby girl who has been fascinated with the City of Love since before she can remember. {Not sure where that even came from, we’ve never been there.}
I’m pretty sure it’s a safe bet to say we just had the very first ever, Parisian Pool party. Quite the theme.
With the help of her favorite Auntie, our youngest daughters vision of the Eiffel tower, sweet treats and art all rolled into a splashing good time went off without a hitch; despite the 50% chance of rain the weather man forecast.
Actually,the idea came together during the same time I was hitting the road for the  Haven conference in Atlanta. In less than 2 minutes, I showed my sister how to play around on PicMonkey. {My favorite online photo editing site.} Then, they came up with this very unique invite my daughter was so proud of.
Basically that completely set the tone for the rest of their party plans.
So on Saturday, we laid out all the goodies and kept our fingers crossed that the weather would hold up.
Oh, the cake: the birthday cake was another one of my youngest girl’s own creative vision. She explained to me and my sister she wanted a cupcake-cake and how there is so much art  in Paris and that she “needed” to have that “thing” artist’s hold with all the colors of paint as her birthday cake. {She’s a girl after my own heart, isn’t she?!;)} Colorful, sweet treats! I love it.
And, last but not least the party favors for all the happy party goers.
Viola!
Our baby is 8 and the party was great!
A H-U-G-E Thank You goes out to Auntie for helping make this AK3’s best birthday ever. And, here are two free blank printable versions of the party invite for you, right  here.
So, what kind of birthday parties have you been to with your kids lately? Any crazy themes? I’d love hear.
Oh?! And what about that Big Announcement?! Ha! I didn’t forget! {Um, no, it’s not that kind of announcement, mom! ;)}
Love the cake, the party favors, the snack, etc!!! So so fun Therese ~
It was a lot of f-u-n, that’s for sure. Thanks Laura!
Oooh, la la! C’est magnifique! What little girl wouldn’t be gushing over this party (or grown-up for that matter?) This is fantastic! Looking forward to your “not that type of” announcement 🙂
Aww! Thank you PopCosmo!
J’adore every little detail that went into this soirée! My very favorite is the cupcakes with a side of cake. Oh to be 8 again! What fun.
WeeWee Geralin! I have no idea how to actually spell that in French…but you know what I mean. And yes, the cake with cupcakes was a big hit.
Cheers to you and yours,
T
That is adorable! I love how she was so involved in every aspect of the planning. I think my favorite part were the cute little goodie buckets! Darling!
Thanks Kimber! We really had a good time just jabber-jawing about it all too. She’s a fun little girl.
And I have a soft spot for those little Target buckets too. 😉

So fun! Love your attention to detail, Therese!
Where did you get the signs for the table. Did you create them yourself, also the banner?
Hi Sharon,
We printed out the signs for the table ourselves but the banner was a kit I picked up at Party City! Hope that helps.
Cheers,
Therese
