DIY Decorating with Natural Elements

Doesn’t a day at the beach sound so good right about now? I could use a day to kick back and soak up some of that vacation-lovin’ feeling, couldn’t you?

Well, even if the temperatures where you are don’t quite call for sunblock yet let’s go ahead bring in a few natural elements from the coast to chase those winter blahs away up. I just love DIY decorating with natural elements; they can look so elegant it’s practically free.

Decorate with Nature

Think back-to-nature. Seashells. Starfish. Sea fans. Driftwood. Naturally easy {not cheesy ;)} ways, we can bring those beautiful, breezy days at the coast indoors with us.

And, just in case you’re curious: no, not everyone in Florida lives on the beach. I wish.

We’re actually about 30 minute drive to my favorite beach.Use Nature in your DecorBut, whether you enjoy coastal living or not, my hope is that we’ve all get to spent some time getting sand between our toes sometime very soon; I just think it’s good for the soul.;)

I’ve found the best way to bring the beach to you is decorating with natural elements. sea shell and pine cones

Like shells of all shapes and…

Even a single sea sponge,Decorate with Natureand a simple piece of coral or…

a single sea fan can make your decorating naturally easy-going.sea fan HHI

I’ve found natural elements really lend a laid-back, relaxed feeling I think we all want (and need) in our homes. And, you don’t have to live in Florida or even take a beach vacation for that matter to infuse naturally, beautiful things into your home.

Take shells in a jar, for instance: that’s something you can whip up in less than 10 minutes. Ten minutes, tops! Like I did hereDIY Beach Chic Decor

I encourage you to think of what natural elements you may already have laying around. Start there. And consider adding a touch of shimmer and shine to them to get that fun lovin’ day at the beach feeling going on right now.

So, what are you up to this Spring? Any beach getaways planned? Staycations or not-so-much? I’d love to hear.

I LOVE all the natural elements and have incorporated a bunch in the last year or so…in my own home. The beach is literally down the street from me and I had never decorated my home in any form of “nautical -beachy” theme before it overflows! ;) Funny you said that about not everyone living on the beach in FL…even though I know that I think I am still guilty of thinking the same at first thought! Like no one lives in the middle!! ;)
    Have a great weekend Therese!
