It’s no secret I’m a lover of Lilly Pulitzer. Maybe it’s a FL thing. Maybe not.
Either way, I say…
Let the sun shine in on this Spring time craft! Because today I have a practically-free DIY anyone can make. It’s a fresh Earth Day upcycle with Lilly gift paper and recycled plastic water bottles transformed into one-of-a-kind art!
Actually, Earth Day is April 22nd but you know you have empty water bottles waiting for you in your recycling bin right now so why wait?! Let the upcycling crafts begin.
I say almost free because the only item I actually purchased for this craft was a 12×12 stretch burlap canvas from Michael’s (with a 40% coupon, it came to around $6). Not bad for a new piece of “art” I know our youngest daughter will love in her bedroom especially because we made it using the gift wrap from one of her most favorite birthday presents.
All you need to make a fresh Earth Day upcycle is:
2 empty water bottles
I don’t know what it is but Something about this pretty preppy gift paper really makes me smile!
Who knew a plastic and paper could look so good? ha!
So, do you upcycle? Get into Earth Day? I’d love to hear.
