You would be surprised if you knew what happens on our kitchen’s island!
Anything goes really on that big beautiful slab of granite I just had to have! From w
hining and dining to baking, crafting, painting, wrapping, science projects, you name it. The bad new is what happens on the island tends to stay on the island no matter how often I wipe it down every day. So when I was asked to test out a stone cleaner offered exclusively at Home Depot, I said bring it on! Because like most women during these no rest for the weary weeks leading up to Christmas, I’ve been running from pillar-to-post to get all the prep done and our house is a total mess right now! I really need to get some Last Minute Holiday Clean Up with Rock It Oil Stone done… and fast!
2014 has gotten away from me, I usually get organized waaaay before now! I finally found the time to Christmas shop last weekend so now the mad dash to get things wrapped…
Plus finish up all the holiday decorating projects I’ve started!
All of this activity happens at my central operations hub aka our kitchen island.
So with a few gifts now under our tree and the staircase project all done (can’t wait to show you that btw) I cleared everything off my big beloved island to give the Rock-It Oil Stone the old try.
I sprayed the whole island with it and let it do its thing for a few minutes.
OK, WOW! That was easy! The foam totally went to work on the sticky, icky stuff that I can never seem to get off despite daily attempts.
The sticky, icky stuff that I can never seem to get rid of wiped right off. No elbow grease was necessary, yay!
Seriously, I don’t know if you can see it on the microfiber cloth I used to wipe the Rock-It Oil off with but everthing from glitter to decoupage and unidentifable gunk wiped right off. The foam action worked like a charm.
Beautiful! And that’s a wrap on my last minute holiday clean up! Bring on the reindeer games, the kiddos get out of school on break today!
What I liked best about Rock-It Oil Stone was how easy it cleaned deep down, removed all dirt and gunk for me and polished up with no streaking either. I’ll definately be keeping a bottle on hand to keep my granite counters looking shiny and new! I recommend you check it out for yourself. It’s sold at Home Depot in the cleaning department.
