Girls like pretty. Pretty, sparkly things aka jewelry – personal ornaments such as necklaces, bracelets and rings. I know girls really like jewelry to be true because (well, for obvious reasons) 1. I’m female and 2. collecting it has been a
bad habit favorite pastime of mine since I can remember. No, really. Give me an hour in Tiffany & Co or even Charming Charlie any given day and I’ll come out a totally happy chick. Refreshed and renewed. And that doesn’t necessarily require making a purchase even though that does tend to happen from time to time. heehee Which brings me to the all important question:
Where do you keep your jewelry?
West Elm inspired Hack easy DIY jewelry branch
Oh sure there are the obvious places to stow away your pretties…
like a jewelry box, a bedside table or in the safe for the really good stuff. But the point is… they’re pretty and they’re fun to look at when they’re not jumbled in a mess on top of a dresser. So why not put them out there where you can
find admire them.
Keep It Simple S.. silly
Why not just use something you have lying around the house? Or oh I don’t know say lying out in the back yard to keep your jewelry organized and on display? 😉
Kind of like that upcycling ugly art project I did that time but not. Because a tree branch isn’t necessarily ugly to start out with.
Sure, I’ve been know to use a branch to decorate before which is all well and good. But as I gathered my thoughts in anticipation of our 2nd Knock Off Tour today (squeal I’m so excited. hey don’t judge}I happened to be perusing the west elm catalog and…
boom! That’s it! Go natural. Keep It Simple..
Now hold that thought (or jewelry 😉 because the WE aka west elm was awfully proud of their wall jewelry branch. $99! Umm no thanks. I think I’d prefer to spend it on oh I don’t know…
This uber- easy DIY consisted of me spray painting a lovely (none the less sturdy and attractive) little twig with two thin coats of Rust-Oleum’s Bright Coat Metallic Finish in Chrome.
Oh and while I was letting that bad boy dry out in the
garage studio, I was kind of on a west elm roll…
I decided to knock off their cool striped jewelry box too!
And, pretty little tray from a picture frame which I can’t wait to share that fun and easy how-to with you…
But it have to wait until next week. Right now I’d love for you to go check out the awesomeness from my blog friends on our knock off tour today.
