Laid back & carefree.
Oh yes! I’ll take an extra helping of that, please!
You see the school year is pretty much done here.
It’s all exciting class trips and end-of-year parties at this point, my friends.
Lots of crazy fun!
And, our 3 girls have already embraced that Sum-Sum-Summertime state of mind,
if you know what I mean.
Our routine is shot.
Summer is almost here and Mommy could use a break too!
So let’s have a
A fun Family Cookout with cool treats for the kids
Yep, one little group text to my parents and cousin to come eat and a Tar-jay run is all it took to ease my mind.
20 minutes door-to-door to pick up paper plates, hamburger buns and something for dessert.
The ultimate refresher, Fruttare Fruit Bars.
Seriously, it was that simple to get a Summer loving feeling going on by slowing down.
Of course, I love spending time with our family especially over a good meal.
But, I’ve learned our fun times and best memories together don’t come from any fancy al fresco dining experience I’ve spent all day trying to create.
Think no work, all play.
Fresh air, plenty of sunshine
cannon balls in the pool
hamburgs on the grill
and eating off paper plates.
So when I spied these Fruttare fruit bars on my Target’s freezer aisle, I thought “Hmm, I’ll get these for the kids and cut up some fresh fruit up for the rest of the fam.”
Fresh watermelon, blueberries, one package of Strawberry & Milk and one of Pinapple Fruttare bars. Done!
I’m back out there enjoying our little fun family cookout.
The whole family (not just the kids) loved this cool and refreshing treat!
Here’s to good times and memory making with your family this Summer!
So tell me,
do you remember all the anticipation and excitement you felt as a kid counting down your final days of school until Summer break?
Have any fun plans for you and your kiddos this Summer?
I’d love to hear.
